Warming-upLook at the pictures and talk about the rules that bicycles riders should obey.Is it safe to do that?What may happen if we do it like this?【设计意图】通过讨论的方式,拓展学生的思维,引入文章的话题。Step 2. Pre-readingShow some pictures to teach the new words and phrases.【设计意图】通过图片的方式学习新单词,了解两大赛事,为阅读扫除障碍。Step 3. While-reading1. Read the two passages in 1 and mark Q or F for the sentences that describe the Tour of Qinghai Lake and F for the Tour de France.

Finish the Grammar and Function. 【设计意图】通过表格的方式,巩固掌握本课重点词汇和if引导的条件状语从句这一语法。7. Work in groups. Tell about traffic accidents they have seen and the traffic rules they know. 8. Discuss how to avoid traffic accidents, then write a report. 【设计意图】通过小组讨论的方式,培养学生的语言运用能力,再通过笔头输出,检测学生对本课所学知识的掌握情况。Step 5.
